Burton's JV baseball defeated by Union and Crushed Twin Springs

On Monday, May 5, 2014 Union's JV team came to Burton and demolished the Raiders. The Raiders were ten-run-ruled, with a final score of 12-2. On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, the Twin Springs Titans JV baseball team came to Burton and were wrecked, with a final score of 16-1.

The JV baseball team lost due to a variety of reasons. One reason was all the errors made.  In the first inning alone there were three errors made by the Raiders. Another reason for their loss was their inability to get outs; they let the Bears have way to many runs, and the innings seemed to be endless due to how long the Bears were batting. The third reason for our loss was the fact that we were not hitting they ball. It took the Raiders three innings to go through the lineup, whereas Union went through their lineup in the first inning.

On the upside, the Raiders JV baseball completely destroyed the Titans, only letting them get one run throughout the entire game, and only after they had a 16 run lead. The Raiders won due to their level of skill combined with the lack of skill of their opponent. The Titans walked a lot of batters and even went so far as hitting one player, Ron Y., three times throughout the course of the game. The Titans were also not really hitting the ball until the final inning, which kept them from getting many players on base and scoring until the final inning.
