Eastside destroys Burton

Yesterday, Tuesday, May 13, 2014, Eastside's varsity baseball team traveled to Burton and completely destroyed the Raiders. This the second game that the varsity baseball team has played against Eastside and in a way a repeat of the first, with the Raiders losing. The final score of the game was 14-2, with the Spartans taking home the win.

There is no doubt that yesterday's game was a complete blowout. Eastside came to Burton played and conquered. Ultimately, there were a few reasons as to why the Raiders lost so badly. One reason was that the Spartans were hitting the ball and the Raiders were not. At the end of the game, we only had two hits, whereas the Spartans had over eight hits. Another reason for the Raiders loss was that the pitching was inadequate. Throughout the course of the entire game, the Raiders walked eleven batters and hit five. All in all, the Raider lost because of their shortcomings, and the Spartans won because of their strengths.  Better luck next time, Raiders!
